Welcome to Thaliwal Bridge Solicitors, solely specialising and practicing in Mental Health Law. We seek to provide a personalised holistic service for our clients responding to their needs as soon as possible in terms of mental health law advice and representation issues.
We are an approved supplier by the Legal Services Commission and can provide FREE LEGAL ADVICE and representation.
We provide high quality legal advice in mental health law. Our dedicated team of experienced lawyers regularly represent clients before Mental Health Review Tribunals and at Hospital Managers Hearings. In addition to advocacy we deal with all other aspects of Mental Health law including helping clients detained under civil provisions, hospital orders, and transfer provisions, as well as those admitted informally.
We seek to provide continuity of service and endeavour to ensure that clients are seen by one dedicated team from beginning to end. We can provide representations for those detained and their Nearest Relatives. We are committed to our clients and will attend them at home or at hospital as a matter of priority. Our goal is to provide a high calibre service, always putting our clients' needs first.
We have forged strong relationships with specialist advocacy groups including those that deal with Black Minority and Ethnic issues, such as the Birmingham Citizens Advocacy group in Birmingham and the Amaani Talliwah group in Nottingham. We are also actively involved with main stream advocacy groups across our geographical remit. We encourage our clients to use the valuable support services that such groups can provide and work in tandem with advocates when representing clients.
We are delighted to have been short listed for the National Law Society Excellence in Equality and Diversity Awards 2007. We recently enjoyed great success at the Leicestershire Law Society Awards 2008 where the firm was shortlisted as Firm of the Year (City) and our trainee solicitor won Young Solicitor of the Year. It is both very pleasing and satisfying to have our efforts in this area recognised. It also provides some helpful focus on Mental Health which is an issue which does not gain the attention it deserves.
In October 2009, we were shortlisted and highly comended in the Law Society excellence awards in the category of client service.
If you are in doubt as to whether we can assist you in your situation please do not hesitate to call us to discuss your query in confidence.
